Create a neat, level surface with less effort using the Burgon & Ball RHS Endorsed BoronGreen Ground Rake. With its wide head and strong, pointed tines, it is designed for spreading, grading and levelling soil, as well as working with bark, gravel, sand and other ground coverings.
Part of Burgon & Ball's BoronGreen range, this ground rake combines the strength and performance of boron steel with a more sustainable approach to garden tool design. The boron steel used for the head is made from 80% recycled steel, believed to be a first for UK garden tools, while the handle is crafted from FSC certified white ash wood.
Boron steel is stronger, tougher and more durable than like-for-like carbon steel, without adding unnecessary weight. It is also better at holding an edge for longer, making it well suited to demanding jobs around the garden. A tough powder-coated finish in a distinctive green helps protect the steel from rust and provides a durable finish.
The extra-wide 35cm head features 14 flat tines, each ground to a point for easier entry into the soil. This makes it straightforward to break up, move and level soil when preparing beds, borders and other planting areas. The bow-shaped support provides a useful degree of spring, giving the rake a little flexibility when needed while working across the ground.
The FSC certified white ash handle has been selected for its strength and natural shock-absorbing properties, providing a comfortable and dependable tool for regular garden work. A twisted paper hanging cord also makes it easy to store the rake neatly in the shed when the job is done.
Endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society, the Burgon & Ball BoronGreen Ground Rake is a robust and versatile garden tool for preparing planting areas and keeping soil, gravel, bark and other ground coverings looking neat and well distributed.
