As you do, the soil plug from the first hole is released from the planter. Simply place it back into its original hole over the top of the bulb and repeat the process.
The sharpened, angled blade is designed to make entering the soil significantly easier, while the cutaway tube allows the soil plug to be released with minimal fuss.
