The Haxnicks Fruit Protection Net is a great choice for keeping your blossom and fruit protected from harsh weather and pests without the need for harsh chemical sprays. Ideal for fruit bushes, and young and dwarf trees or trees that are being grown in containers, this net can be used at both ends of the season. In spring, it can be used to protect blossom, new growth, flowers and buds when they are still susceptible to frost damage. The net should be removed once the flowers are set to allow pollinating insects to access the plant. Later in the year it can be used to cover and protect fruit from pests organically.
The net has a mesh size of 1mm which is large enough to let sunlight and moisture get through to the plant while still protecting it from heavy rain, hail and frost. It is also small enough that fruit fly, aphids, wasps, cherry worm, birds, bats and other pests can't get to your fruit and will not get tangled in the net. It features a lift-over design with a full height Velcro opening and a drawstring around the base to make the net easier to use and secure. The net also has a natural green colouring which allows it to look more like any other tree or bush and blend into your garden.
